Open Call: Preserving Legacies – Creative Futures Workshop Series
New Africa Cultural Initiative (NACI), in partnership with Manju Journal, is pleased to announce that multidisciplinary artist Zohra Opoku will lead the inaugural edition of Preserving Legacies – Creative Futures Workshop Series, launching in Accra, Ghana. The two-day workshop, 'Threaded Archives: Textiles, Photography & Print', brings together cultural practitioners — researchers, artists, curators, photographers and cultural producers — to explore the relationship between heritage, material culture, craft, archives and creative practice through dialogue, artistic exchange and hands-on exploration. Held in Accra in partnership with the Foundation for Contemporary Art—Ghana, with support from the Vlisco Foundation. Applications are now open. Submission deadline: 4 August 2026.
