Founded in 2017 and inspired by the Sanskrit word manju, meaning beautiful, sweet, or pleasant, MANJU Journal is a digital platform, creative studio, and seasonal print publication championing African creativity across fashion, art, photography, design, and culture. The journal was conceived from the understanding that African narratives have long been marginalised or misrepresented, and exists to address this imbalance by prioritising and amplifying the work of African creatives, visual storytellers, designers, and writers.
